With sculpted mountains and intricately carved temples both above and below, one of the many forms of Buddha is artfully represented in this beautiful and exceptionally detailed 11.5 inch Buddha wall hanging.
Made of polystone resin to resemble hand carved wood, this lovely and decorative piece of Buddhist wall art features an antique crackle finish on the Buddha's face, golden highlights on his hair and top knot, or wisdom bump (also known as ushnisa) and tiny temples built into the mountains that are reminiscent of the Hanging Temple located in Hunyuan County, outside of the city of Datong in the Shanxi province of China.

The Hanging Temple is said to have been originally built by only one man, a monk named Liao Ran towards the end of the Northern Wei Dynasty (386-534 AD), but it has been lovingly maintained and added on to for more than 1,500 years. Built into a precipice on the Jinlong Valley at the foot of Mount Hengshan, it is the only existing temple in China that combines Buddhist, Taoist and Confucian elements by having sculptures of Shakyamuni, Confucius and Laotzu appearing together inside, which is very unusual. Proudly made in the USA, this divine Asian Buddha wall hanging would be a peaceful addition to any home, office, or meditation space.
This meaningful and symbolic depiction of Buddha and the Hanging Temple wall decor comes ready to hang and measures 11 1/2" H - 3 1/4" W - 3" D.
